Does Windows 10 have the option to create a guest user business relationship? I see in the settings where I can add an business relationship of someone who has an existing Microsoft account, only I don't want the account to exist fastened to a specific business relationship. I just want to be able to take a full general guest business relationship for anyone who wants to temporarily use my computer .
I activated the in-built Invitee account August 01, 2015, by following the howto-connect.com instructions (net user invitee /active:yes from an elevated command prompt (right-click Showtime/Windows button and select Command Prompt (Admin)). Invitee then appeared in the list of available accounts on the lock screen.
I have, in the past couple of days, activated the Guest account on two more Win ten PCs. The command line echoed that this had succeeded, and Guest appears, as 1 of the alternatives, when I click on my business relationship name at the height of the Start Card, but when I select it, instead of switching to the Guest account which is not password protected, information technology takes me to the lock screen, where Guest is no longer shown.
Microsoft appear to be suppressing the Guest account, for reasons that I/we do non know. We should be told.

I-Panda, I agree. I was able to reactive my Guest Account. But, the screen flickers and continuously refreshes. Unusable. I tried the non-Microsoft (Local User) business relationship option. Contour Service would non load it. Don't know what Microsoft's intention is; but, trying to force me to give others increased access to my computer IS NOT AN Selection. And since the recent updates failed to address these issues earlier the deadline, I am reverting back to Win8.

The concensus of stance in this forum is that it is impossible to recreate in Win 10 the Guest account of previous versions of Windows.
The workaround is to create a local user account (you may accept to Google (or Bing) how to do that), which, by definition, is not a Microsoft Business relationship, and doesn't require an e-mail service adddress, or other identity details. Yous may likewise take to Google/Bing how to think whatsoever docments in your previous version of Windows Guest account, which disappeared when you lot upgraded to Win ten.
Name this new local user account Visitor, and create it as a Standard user, not Ambassador, and you volition have as close as you lot are going to get to the old Invitee account.

I have no thought why Microsoft doesn't have a "Enable Invitee Business relationship" checkbox on Settings/Accounts/Family & other users. After dumping all this time and money into producing Windows ten to intentionally make this hard is truly strange.
For whatsoever skilful reasons at that place may be, this is very irritating.

Sorry, but try as I might this does only NOT WORK.
1. Become to Settings and click on Accounts.
2. Navigate to Family and Other Users.
3. Click on Add Someone else to this PC.
I follow the instructions downwards to iii, but when I select I become the post-obit screen!

I did the above quite successfully I thought... until I tried to log on to it. I put in the countersign I had set and got the following:
User Profile Service failed the sign in. User profile cannot exist loaded.
Anything I tin can practice?
For Heavens sake all I want to practice is create an account where a friend tin log on and use their electronic mail accounts and my printer etc but not run across every thing on my pc. In older versions it was possible... how come so much seems to accept been made more than difficult in this so-called improved technology?

This worked for me on several Win 10 devices:-
Firstly, open an elevated command prompt past going to Start bill of fare/All Programs/Windows System, right-click Control Prompt, select More, select Run as administrator, then;
- Enter "net user Visitor /add /active:yes" (ignore quotes) to create a new account. Yous tin can supervene upon "Visitor" with whatever proper noun you wish, just exist certain to change it for every command on this list. "Guest" is reserved past the Windows system.
- Enter "net user Visitor *" (ignore quotes) to create a password for the account.
- Printing Enter primal twice to create a blank countersign.
- Enter "cyberspace localgroup users Visitor /delete" (ignore quotes) to remove Visitor from the regular Users grouping.
- Enter "net localgroup guests Visitor /add together" (ignore quotes) to add Visitor to the guests user group.
Yous now you accept a make new "guest" business relationship! This business relationship will take the same privileges equally the former guest accounts, but, I am told, that information technology does not wipe settings and local files on logout.
